چکیده
This study was carried out to determine the effect of three commercial LEDs different spectra with or without far red (FR) photons on growth, morphology, and mineral content two leafy vegetables under temperatures (30 °C 21 °C). The greens were ‘Cegolaine’ lettuce (Lactuca sativa) ‘Petite Star’ pak choy (Brassica rapa subsp. Chinensis). In each temperature, there light spectra: blue LED, white LED FR. All lights adjusted a total photon flux density 250 μmol m−2 s−1 at top plant canopy. Results indicated that temperature treatment had significant influence most measured parameters. When increased from 30 °C, shoot fresh dry weights by 30% 53%, respectively, while those approximately 22%. For both species, plants high larger leaf area but lower compared low temperature. spectrum minor no traits. conclusion, 5% FR did not impact yield biomass either crop responses varied species. resulted in differences

Copper and lead levels in two popular leafy vegetables grown around Morogoro Municipality, Tanzania.
A study was carried out to determine the levels of two heavy metals, Lead (Pb) and Copper (Cu), in two popular leafy vegetables grown around Morogoro Municipality in Tanzania. Vegetable samples of Pumpkin leaves (Cucurbita moschata) and Chinese cabbage (Brassica chinensis) were collected from three sites and analysed for their concentrations of the two metals using an Atomic Absorption Spectrop...
متن کاملThe vitamin and mineral content of fruits and vegetables grown in Israel.
Many countries of the world have serious problems in feeding their people, and Israel is no exception. In developing a sound programme for the food and nutrition of any country information on the composition of its home-grown foods is of particular importance. The chemical composition and nutritive value of foods produced in Palestine have been investigated by Kovacs, Guggenheim & Kligler (1939...
متن کاملControl of Leaf and Stem Growth in Light-grown Pea Seedlings by Two High Irradiance Responses.
The control exerted by light on leaf and stem growth in light-grown Alaska pea seedlings was studied during the main photoperiod. Two high irradiance responses were observed. The action spectrum for one had a single sharp peak at 600 nanometers. The action spectrum for the other showed a broad peak between 440 and 470 nanometers. These two light responses must be activated simultaneously for an...
